Scootz's Friends Gallery - Ranken

Connie has two male kittens she thinks may be calicos. She cannot be sure of their background as they are from a feral mother who disappeared. They are only about four weeks old. Both have tricolor markings, the orange becoming more apparent as they get older.

Connie writes:
They are sure consuming the formula roughly a little over a cup per feeding. I understand now why mother cats are so skinny and under weight.
When I was growing up, we had a female calico cat that produced 10 litters, in her first 5 years. Finally my parents managed to get her spayed, and she lived till she was 14 and a half.
Its a no win situation for the feral cats. That stray female was lucky to live long enough to produce a litter of kittens. But in her quest for extra food, she put her self in danger to feed her kittens. If I had known she was hanging around, I would have fed her, and possibly tamed her kittens, with out having to bottle feed them.
