Nicky and Holly
My niece, Kathy, has two dogs, Nicky and Holly. Nicky is about 8 years old, ailing, and cost the Smiths much money! Such is their love for their “canine Children.” Both dogs are Golden Retrievers. Holly is much younger. She keeps Nicky active. The Smith’s have adopted two human children, birds and turtles; they are the perfect example of opening their hearts to the world of adopting.

This chapter is definite proof that many children raised in a home with pets, in most cases, when married, and/or with children, will want pets of their own. Their love and many precious memories of these loving animals will extend far into maturity.
